Mole passed down through three generations
Casa Ortuño began the way the best things do — in a home kitchen, with a recipe book full of stains and a family that showed love through food. What started as weekend gatherings grew into something the whole neighborhood could enjoy.
Today, we still make everything the old way: tortillas pressed by hand, salsas roasted over flame, and our famous mole simmered for hours until every layer of flavor comes together. We source produce from local farms and keep our kitchen small so nothing rushes.
Whether you're stopping in for a quick taco lunch or settling in for a Sunday feast, we want you to feel what we feel — that the best meals are the ones shared with people you care about.
